Allexis & Mitch || Utah Mountain Maternity Session

I'm in disbelief that it's been over a year since I have updated this blog! I have so many sessions to share and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Let's start with this beautiful Utah Mountain maternity session from last summer! The golden rolling hills and dreamy light were so fun to shoot in. Not only that but I got to work with one of my favorite couples.

Allexis & Mitch are one of the sweetest couples on the planet. I photographed their wedding back in 2016 (still need to share those photos) and it was so much fun to capture their maternity photos less than a year later! It is the biggest compliment to get rehired to shoot and document my couples as their families grow. It's hard to believe their sweet little boy will be turning one here in a few short weeks.

 Here are a few of my favorites, I hope you enjoy!

Amy + Lance | Provo Canyon Bridals

Amy & Lance... where do I begin with these two? These guys are amazing! They have the best energy and connection which makes my job far too easy. We originally planned to shoot their bridals at Tibble Fork but the road was closed off due to a wild fire. It was kind of a last minute decision to go up Provo Canyon and look at this magic we created. Ironically I feel as though I shoot my best under lots of pressure and without having a solid plan.

Amy's mom (Ellen) and sister (Ashley) joined us for the shoot and we all had a BLAST. During the end of our session I had a scare.. I left just about all of my gear somewhere on the mountain. Guys, it was DARK outside and I started feeling sick to my stomach realizing my equipment may have been stolen. Ellen and I went searching and we quickly found my gear on the ground near the beginning of the trail. Helen and I jumped up and down and cheered. We are now all practically family, I love these guys.

Megan + Kevin | Intimate Backyard Wedding

I haven't blogged any photo sessions since July! How crazy is that?! I really want to get in the habit of posting here at least once a week. Instead of going all the way back to the beginning of this year I'm going to share this wedding I just finished up from September!

I had a special opportunity to shoot my sister-in-law and *NEW* brother-in-law's wedding. Believe it or not I went into labor less than 36 hours after their wedding, so thankful it wasn't on their wedding day!

 I love that Megan and Kevin went with an intimate backyard ceremony surrounded by their families and closest friends. During their ceremony it unexpectedly started to rain, not just rain but downpour! I love when unexpected circumstances like this happen since makes for some interesting photos and awesome memories (;
